Judit Castellanos

Judit Castellanos is serving as the 2020-2021 President of the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. She is currently a fourth-year undergraduate at UC Irvine pursuing a B.S. in Public Health Sciences with a minor in Health Informatics. Judit works in two separate research labs, one being a multi-disciplinary research lab at the Children’s Hospital of OC where she specifically focuses on managing pain & symptoms in pediatric cancer patients and the second lab relating to COVID-19 research and education. Her love for research, the well-being of others, and her community is what motivates her to continue a career in clinical research with the goal of pursuing a Ph.D./professional medical degree. Her involvement in this organization stems from a lifelong passion of wanting to give back by helping others. As a benevolent aspiring student herself, her goal is to provide resources and opportunities to as many members as possible in order to promote the confidence and skills necessary for success. Jorge Flores
Vice President

Jorge Flores is serving as the 2020-2021 Vice President of the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. He is currently an undergraduate student at California State University, Fullerton; majoring in Political Science with a minor in Communications. Jorge is also California’s State Director of Global Young Politicians, a platform that provides leadership and debate forums worldwide. His passion for communication is shown serving as the Director of The Flash, a Latin American News Platform promoting education and public speaking towards youth. Jorge is a public speaker reaching more than 30,000 students, teachers, and employees internationally. Today, he is an active leader through his own news blog @jorgefloresnews, informing students about the most relevant news in our country. As Vice President, Jorge invites you to join OCHYCC and become part of our organization.  

Leslie Rincon

Leslie Rincon is serving as the 2020-2021 Secretary of the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. Leslie is a first generation college student entering her third-year as an undergraduate at Cypress College, majoring in Marine Biology with a minor in Journalism. Outside the chamber, Leslie is a Peer Mentor and Family Group leader for the (STEM)2 program at Cypress College, where she acts as a guide for scholars navigating the difficulties of college life and pursuing a degree in the STEM field. Leslie’s passions include marine life conservation and research. As a low income, Latina woman pursuing a higher education Leslie hopes to empower and reach out to her community through the OCHYCC.

Melissa Del Castillo

Melissa Del Castillo is serving as the 2020-2021 treasurer for the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. She is a fourth-year public health science major at UC Irvine with hopes of working in the medical field as either a physician’s assistant or a clinical lab scientist. As a first-generation college student, Melissa is passionate about giving back to the community and hopes to help others the way others have helped her. She is always open to helping others and has goals to help better the opportunities available for first-generation students.

Nicole Balbuena
Director of Marketing

Nicole Balbuena is serving as one of the 2020-2021 Directors of Marketing for the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. Nicole recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine ('19), majoring in Sociology, Chicanx/Latinx Studies, and Political Science. Now, she is an incoming graduate student pursuing a master's degree in Social Welfare with the specialization of Strengthening Children, Youth, and Families at the University of California, Berkeley. Nicole is an active leader in her community and a driven researcher with expertise in immigration, gender studies, and intimate partner violence. As a board member, she strives to empower students to continue pursuing higher education and attain their career aspirations.

Jose Del Castillo
Director of Marketing

Jose Del Castillo is one of the Directors of Marketing this year for the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. He is a second year student attending the University of California, Irvine majoring in Physics. He is also a returning board member. Jose’s dream is to graduate a first generation student and eventually work with NASA. As Jose works toward his goals, he wishes to help others work toward their’s. He hopes he can help many of them through this organization the way this organization has helped him.

Ryan Leynes
Director of Community Relations

Ryan Leynes is serving as one of the 2020-2021 Directors of Community Relations for the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce. Ryan is a third year student at Fullerton College double majoring in Political Science and Journalism with the goal of either working as a political or a sports journalist. Ryan plans to present opportunities, motivate, and maximize the potential of the members in his community.

Connor Choi
Director of Community Relations

Connor Choi is serving as one of the 2020-2021 Directors of Community Relations. He is an entrepreneur who started a digital marketing agency that specializes in establishing and growing companies online. With over 25 clients, his main goal is to create the best results for businesses of all kinds. In addition, he also works as an executive assistant on a public relations and marketing firm that targets growth in diverse customers. Connor is a recent high school graduate and will be attending Long Beach City College in the Fall where he will be majoring in Business. He is here to create connections and grow collectively as an organization!
